Ray’s Take on Episode 12: “Battle Lines”
Kira, you should know better than to access your own file…
The ever enigmatic Kai Opaka is enigmatic and a little scary, creepy. Anyone remember Kai from Lexx? Totally different character, but he was also kind of undead, so…
One probably shouldn’t do chest compression on a collapsed heart and crushed thoracic vertebra. Bashir killed the Pope!
Deadite Kai Opaka! Someone get an axe.
Great. Everyone’s a deadite. Oops, wrong franchise…
No wonder there are no doctors. Lol.
What a dystopian take on Valhalla. Viking dead fight from dawn until dusk. At dusk, the defeated rise and everyone feasts and wenches all night. Rinse and repeat for eternity. This seems similar but without the feasting and wenching.

DS9 has a serious ear fetish. I’m sure there’s a support group for that.
They REALLY should have used the TOS Melee Battle Boogie for the fight scenes. Such a missed opportunity.
Sisko smacks down Bashir pretty hard. Engineering to the rescue! We get some insight into Kira. Great episode.
Kai Opaka is what every religious leader should aspire to be.
