Ray’s Take on Episode 2.12: “The Alternate”
Odo claiming that death rituals are his hobby is somewhat disturbing. If you’re going to sell counterfeit death disks, make sure the celebrity is actually dead. I think I may have just come up with a new Rule of Acquisition.
Dr. Mora is played by James Sloyan who was in The Sting and also appeared in numerous TV series, including Buck Rogers (the truly lamentable ’80s version).
So, Sisko thinks that Education should be shared, generational suffering?

Maybe I’ve seen too much science fiction, but a rapidly growing alien life form is never a good thing. And one does not simply go into the ductwork alone. It’s a well known rule, as ubiquitous as “Never split the party”.
And, we have a tentacular alien monstrosity, straight out of H.P. Lovecraft. They should have seen that coming.
Odo seems to hold a bit of a grudge against his pseudo-father, manifesting in a rather Mr. Hyde scenario. Mora displays a bit of bravery, fueled partially by remorse and regret for his past actions and how they impacted Odo. A nice way to mend bridges between the two, and the CGI isn’t bad for the time and with a television series budgetary constraints.
