Ray’s Take on Episode 2.10: “Sanctuary”
Kira is perpetually vexed.
Quark always has a towel handy. Ford Prefect would approve.
Bajorans always seem to be playing politics and have their own self-serving ulterior motives.
The fugitives remind me of waterfowl, especially when they imprint on Kira and Odo struggles to ride herd on them. Living by the river, I’ve had a few run-ins with geese. They can be nasty creatures.
No one seems to realize that alien cuisine could be potentially fatal, or at least nausea inducing.
It must be hard for the actor to use a made up language, but, then again, all languages are made up.

The mysterious Dominion is mentioned yet again. Oh, the potential Spoilers…
Quark doesn’t like the fugitives and is twice almost going out of business. I figure he has to be exaggerating his apparently razor thin margins of profit to garner sympathy, or he’s a really bad Ferengi.
A female dominant, polygamous society is quite progressive. The history of the two alien species in the Gamma Quadrant echo the Bajorans and Cardassians.
Fashion fails are funny and form a fine foundation for friendship.
Even alien teens tend towards surly.
Regardless of the similarity between the species, there is a rather insincere expression of sympathy as the refugees are denied sanctuary. The Bajorans have repeatedly stated that Bajor is for Bajorans, so of course they would turn aliens away. While the Cardassians are not nice people, the Bajorans can be just as awful.
